In Hong Kong, there are currently an estimated 200,000 children from low-income families,
meaning 1 in every 5 children lives in poverty.*
Their potential and dreams are being hindered by heavy economic pressure.
HOPE worldwide will hold a Flag Day in the Kowloon region on Saturday, February 28, 2026,
to raise funds for these grassroots children, ensuring they have equal rights and opportunities for development. This event is approved by the Social Welfare Department.

Where Your Donation Goes
Funds raised from the Flag Day will be directly used to support children from grassroots families in the Sham Shui Po district and students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Flag Design
We sincerely thank the renowned local lyricist and cartoonist, Siu Hak, for designing the event's theme illustration and the beautiful flag stickers for the "HOPE worldwide Flag Day."
Siu Hak's popular character, Panda-a-Panda, is seen playing and learning carefree with children amidst the word "HOPE." This conveys HOPE worldwide's belief: to mobilize the power of the community to provide grassroots children with a happy childhood full of companionship and learning opportunities. Together with Panda-a-Panda and our volunteers, we can spread this love and hope throughout the society.
