The need to assess and educate our elderly about their risk of falls is growing as Hong Kong's ageing population grows. HOPE worldwide is having its annual Volunteers for Seniors Day on January 31, 2010 where volunteers can help carry out fall assessment of the elderly, present "Lucky Bags" to encourage their spirit, or clean and refurbish their homes in time for the Chinese New Year.
Date: January 31, 2010
Time: 11 am to 5 pm
Place: Volunteers are invited to the opening ceremony (Po On Road Playground, Cheung Sha Wan) and then visit seniors living in public housing estates around Hong Kong.
You can register to be a volunteer by completing the volunteer registration form and faxing it back to us at 2776-5959.
We would also like to invite volunteers to join our annual fundraising campaign to support HOPE worldwide's services for needy seniors and children.
You can register to be a volunteer by completing the volunteer registration form and fax it back to us at 2776-5959. If you agree to fundraise for us, we will send you a fundraising envelope. The envelope needs to be returned to HOPE worldwide on or before February 28, 2010.
